Experience the heart-pounding thunder of the PVGP Historics at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. If you are looking for speed, muscle and thunder, this is the place to be. Since 2004, racers from all over the country have come to the 2.8-mile purpose-built track 40 miles northwest of Pittsburgh for fierce competition between the legends of the 60s and early 70s, including Mustangs, Corvettes, Jaguars, BMWs, Porsches and Alfa Romeos, to name a few.

See the cars and drivers in the expansive paddock and watch the races from several vantage points. Food/drink vendors and sponsors are located throughout the facility. Including Helltown Brewing, which is the “Official Beer of the PVGP.” That can be done if you feel the personal need for speed. For a donation to the charity, you can rent a kart and reach speeds up to 45 mph on the .82-mile karting track. Look for this event to grow in popularity and numbers in the coming years.

Feature: Historic Stock Car Racing Association (HSCRA)

This will be the first time the HSCRA will race in the PVGP.  The HSCRA, renowned for its commitment to preserving and celebrating the history of stock car racing, will bring a new dimension to the PVGP Historics. The group is open to all stock cars that ran in one of the major NASCAR series. There are different classes for each era and type of car—even trucks. Scott Dolfi, who happens to be the Operations Manager at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, plans to race his 2016 Chevy Silverado, which ran in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

NASCAR’s Joe Nemechek joins the field at Pitt Race. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 24 Toyota Supra. Nemechek has made the second most national series starts in NASCAR history. He claimed the record in 2019 after he passed seven-time Cup Series champion Richard Petty, but was surpassed by Kevin Harvick in 2021.[1] Nemechek won the 1992 NASCAR Busch Series championship.
