The PVGP is excited to welcome the Formula Ford Mini Festival to our event as part of the 50th Anniversary of the Formula Ford in the United States. Our two unique race weekends provide the ideal combination of vintage and historic racing in a single 10-day motorsport festival.

FORMULA FORD MINI FESTIVAL Encompassing both weekends most cars will be accepted ‘as raced’ per the rules of a recognized vintage racing series. Cars must have a log book to be accepted. All cars must have a Ford Engine per SCCA or Monoposto rules. Cars must run on vintage Formula Ford treaded tires.  There will be a class within the overall race group for most Formula Fords manufactured between 1969 and 1999.  General classifications will be as follows, with awards and podiums for all four car classifications at each event:

  • Historic Fords – First generation Formula Ford (Vintage Formula Ford) cars generally fitted with front radiators, outboard suspension and brakes.
  • Club Fords – Second generation Formula Ford (club ford) cars campaigned in 1973 thru 1981.
  • Early Modern Fords (Post Club Ford) – Cars manufactured between 1982 and 1989 with a distinct chassis mid rail on which the front and rear roll structures are mounted.
  • Modern Formula Fords – Cars manufactured between 1984 and 1999 with a ‘tub type’ tube frame. This classification includes the Swift DB 1 and other cars with this type of construction.
