GENERAL INFORMATION

Directions: Take PA Turnpike Exit 13, take Route 18 North 3 miles, left on Penndale Road. The track is 2 miles at top of the hill.

Entry Confirmation
We don’t let you know if you are accepted. If your entry is rejected or in question, you can expect to be notified ASAP. If you are accepted, you will see your entry posted online by the race group beginning in June.

Refund Policy
Your race entry will be fully refunded if you notify Race Operations or Registrar before your tires hit the track on Friday morning. If your car breaks during Test & Tune your weekend race entry fee will be refunded, but not your Test & Tune fee.

Waivers
All racers, crew and volunteers will need to complete and sign the PIRC Track Waiver and the PVGP SpeedWaiver to enter the facility. The link will be available in July. It only takes a few minutes to complete online now – if you wait to do it at the track it could take 10 or more minutes since the wifi is not fast.

Current Schedule

Track Gates
You can enter the facility after 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24. Gates close at 10:00 PM – No Exceptions. On Thursday, gates are open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. There is a security guard making rounds after 10:00 pm, who can let you in or out if you are camping. The security guard cell phone is 724-350-4273.

Waivers & Forms
You must complete the waiver from the track. It only takes a few minutes to complete online and will be available in July. Please do this before you leave home for the track because if you wait to do it at the track you will have to pull aside and it takes 10-12 minutes for each person to complete. Please forward this info to all of your crew members as well – everyone must sign both waivers.

Paddock
You must paddock where you are directed by PVGP or PIRC personnel. If you enter before or after hours without direction from the PVGP or PIRC you should not set up your paddock as you might be redirected in the morning.

Registration
Registration has been relocated to the trackside timing tower.

Wednesday 6:00 pm  – 8:00 pm  for Test & Tune only
Thursday 7:00 am – noon for Test & Tune  only
3:00 pm – 8:00 pm all competitors
Friday 7:00 am – Noon
Saturday 7:00 am – 9:00 am

Tech hours and location
Roving tech on Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Friday from 7:15 am 4:00 pm.  Saturday as needed. Cars DO NOT need to be inspected for the Test & Tune Day on Thursday.

TRACK INFO

Trailer Storage
To make it easier for our racers that are racing at PIRC and then on following weekend at Schenley Park you can store you race rig at the track. You will need to register and sign a waiver with the track.You will park your rig in the camping area to the left of the road that leads to the South Grid. There is security to enter the track but PIRC and the PVGP are not responsible for your rig. During the week the track’s hours are 7:00 AM till 8:00 PM if yiou are coming to get your rig.

Optional Test Day
Test & Tune is on Thursday, July 25. This is not included in your race entry. You must be a PVGP competitor on either weekend to participate.

Spectator event
The PVGP Historics draw quite a crowd! It is open to the public for all four days. Tickets available at the gate, $30 per day,

SPECIAL CAR REQUIREMENTS

Sound Restrictions
100 dBA, measured 50′ from track edge (most unmuffled cars are OK); quiet hours 8:00 PM Thursday to 8:00 AM Friday.  Friday 8:00 PM to Saturday 8:00 AM and Saturday 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM Sunday.

Transponder
Cars without transponders will be gridded by Timing & Scoring and will start in the back.  Sorry – no transponder are available for rent.

CREW REQUIREMENTS

Crew passes
Two crew members are included, along with the driver with each race entry. The crew must check in on Thursday or Friday and receive a wristband for entry. If crew member does not have a wrist band they will be charged $30 per day at the gate – please honor this rule as we are raising money for charity. Additional crew members are $30 for the entire 4-day event and include dinner Friday and Saturday. Please adhere to this rule, our volunteers at the gate are instructed to charge all entrants without wristbands. All participants must sign the track waiver on first entry to the facility.

Lunches
Concession stands are available for you to purchase lunch.

Race Trailer Storage
If you are racing again on the following weekend at Schenley Park the PVGP will cover the fee for you to store your rig at the track. Register at the Karting building during the race weekend and sign a Trailer Storage Agreement.

Electrical Power
The electrical power is already sold out. You are permitted to bring a generator.

Garages
Garage Rental $400 holds one large car or two very small cars. Pitt Race has 14 garages for rental on a first-come basis. Eight garages are adjacent to the North Track paddock area; six additional garages are on the ground floor of our Events Center. Garage bays are equipped with roll-up garage doors. Extension cords are prohibited for external usage. Garage facilities include access to modern restrooms.  Garages will be available on Wednesday, from 5:00 PM through 6:00 PM Sunday.

Race Fuel
Pitt Race features quality Sunoco Race Fuels in the following formulations: – 100 Octane Unleaded – 110 Octane Leaded – 93 Octane Unleaded Prices per gallon vary with market conditions All payment is “pay at the pump” with a limit of 3 transactions per credit card per day. Open 24 hours a day.

Compressed Air and Water
Compressed air & water are available in Event Center garages at the top of the hill.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Kart Rentals
Available at the Kart track office. Open for adults and kids on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can get on the track yourself – take a spin on the Wilson karting track where you can reach speeds of 45 MPH! Both the red Birel Rock Karts as well as the black Junior Rental Karts will be available to accommodate most drivers eight years old and up. PIRC will donate a percentage of the proceeds to the Grand Prix charities. The kart, gas and all safety equipment are all included. No flip-flops or sandals permitted and children must be 10 or older. Call 724.535.1000. Details.

Driver Reception
The Driver’s Reception is Saturday night at 6.00 pm on the air conditioned room on the second floor of the Conference Center  Racer entry includes meals for the driver and two crew members.  For additional dinners, please make a donation (recommended $30 per person) at the entrance or when you register with MSR. PVGP Volunteers are also invited. There will not be a Friday dinner or reception at the track.

Charity Rides
In honor of the GT40 Reunion we will attempt to conduct all lunch riodes with GT40 cars. Rides start at approximately noon and run until 12:45 PM.
