Italian Cortile della Corsa at the PVGP
July 18/19, 2026

The Cortile della Corsa has been described as the crown jewel of the car show at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.  Cortile is Italian for “Courtyard,” and it’s befitting the name because of the gorgeous Italian vehicles in front of The Pittsburgh Golf Club promontory.

The Cortile showcases the finest Italian design, featuring sports cars from renowned brands such as Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Lancia, Lamborghini, and Maserati, among others.

On Saturday at the Grand Prix, the Cortile Cup is awarded for the best in show and for each Italian Marque. On Sunday, the Car Show Participants move to the Westinghouse Pond VIP Area for “Wine on Nine” to watch the racers negotiate the exciting hairpin at Turn 9.

All Italian cars—of every make, model, and era—are welcome. The Italian Cortile overlooks the full International Car Show on the Schenley Park Golf Course, placing you at the heart of the action. Enjoy the entire weekend at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix while taking in sweeping views of the car shows below.

French Quarter

The PVGP invited French-manufactured cars to join the Cortile in 2021. It adds an excellent French touch to an already great show. Visit the French Quarter Car Show page.

The Italian Cortile History

At the 2008 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, “All Italian Cars” were honored as Marque of the Year — and the response was overwhelming. With no local Italian car club or dealer network to organize a dedicated show, Bernard Martin and the PVGP created one. In 2009, they introduced The Cortile, an elegant showcase designed to match the beauty and passion of the Italian marques it celebrates.

Unlike many other shows during Grand Prix weekend, The Cortile is produced and managed entirely by the PVGP, making it a uniquely curated experience. Special thanks to founder Bernard Martin and to Wayne Long for his vision and expertise in shaping this exquisite display of Italian automotive art.

The Cortile della Corsa has since been called the crown jewel of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix car show. “Cortile” means courtyard in Italian — a fitting name for the stunning Italian automobiles displayed against the dramatic backdrop of The Pittsburgh Golf Club promontory.

Now in its 17th year, the Cortile is a two-day car show of all Italian cars, all makes, and all ages are welcome. Be sure to mark your calendar and come and enjoy the weekend at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix overlooking the International car show on the Schenley Park Golf Course. It should be a spectacular weekend.
