MEDIA REGISTRATION

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix welcomes accredited media covering one of America’s most distinctive motorsport events. From Race Week shows to vintage racing through the streets of Schenley Park to the International Car Show and Race Week activities, credentialed media receive access to unique stories, outstanding photography, and behind-the-scenes opportunities throughout the festival.

WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY

Media credentials are available to individuals on assignment for recognized media outlets, including:

  • Reporters, writers, editors, and broadcasters from print, digital, television, radio, or podcast outlets.
  • Professional photographers and videographers working for established media organizations or agencies.
  • Freelancers with a confirmed assignment (proof required).
  • Automotive content creators and social media influencers with a significant, relevant audience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Media credentials are issued only to individuals directly involved in covering the event. Credentials will not be issued to spouses, guests, or other non-working companions. The PVGP reserves the right to approve or deny any application.

Many Race Week events are open to the public, but credentialed media receive advance event information and may be invited to exclusive interview, photography, and video opportunities not available to the general public. When you register, please indicate which events you plan to cover so we can keep you informed of media opportunities.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

  • Each applicant must submit an individual Media Credential Request Form. Organizations may not apply on behalf of multiple representatives.
  • Applications must be submitted by July 1, 2026.
  • Please allow up to 14 days for review.
  • Applicants will be notified of their status no later than July 10, 2026.
  • Credentials are issued only in the applicant’s name and are not transferable.
  • A government-issued photo ID is required when picking up credentials.
  • Credentials will not be mailed.
  • The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix reserves the right to revoke credentials at any time.

This version is about 30% shorter, removes repetition, and reads more like a professional media accreditation page. It also avoids overselling with phrases like “experience from the inside,” “exclusive photo positions,” and “unmatched access,” while still making the benefits clear.

*RACE SIDE CREDENTIALS “HOT PASS”

If you wish to receive media credentials to work inside the fence, e.g., a “hot pass”, you will need to demonstrate that you have photographed on a hot race track in the past – Schenley Park is a difficult race to cover with long walks, no transport or amenities. Credentialed Media will have access to photograph the winner’s podium at Schenley Park and WILL NOT require a hot pass for those areas.

ONLY COMPLETE BELOW IF YOU ARE REQUESTING A "HOT PASS"

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix hosts vintage racing cars that can have more unpredictability when compared to modern race cars. The Vintage Races at Schenley Park are a very unique setting through city streets, around stone walls, past haybales, trees and phone poles. It can a dangerous place for drivers, volunteers and media if anyone is inside the track without experience on a hot field. At the PVGP we are not equiped to provide the kind of safety training for you to get your first experience. You will need to have gained that experience elsewhere. Please do not apply for a hot pass if you do not have prior "hot track" experience. You will be denied.

With that said, in order to apply for a Hot Pass please complete the following information:

I would like to request a hot pass at the following:

Please provide a minimum of two links to races/events you have covered with a hot pass.
