Schenley Park Road Closures

We appreciate the patience and understanding of the residents as we close streets and detour traffic around Schenley Park.

This map shows the layout, track and restrictions from 2024. A revised 2026 version will be available in June.

Planned road closings for 2026, Thursday, July 16 through Sunday, July 19

The closures below reflect the traditional Schenley Park roads used for PVGP Race Weekend. PennDOT’s planned Parkway East closure for the Commercial Street Bridge project will create additional regional impacts that are not included here. We will share any event-specific updates as Race Weekend approaches. Details

  • Panther Hollow Road from Anderson playground to Schenley Cafe & Visitor Center will be closed from 8:00 am Friday until 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • Schenley Drive from Frew Street to Schenley Cafe & Visitor Center will be closed from 3:00 pm Thursday until 8:00 pm Sunday.
  • West Circuit Road from Schenley Drive to Darlington Road will be closed from 6:00 pm Wednesday until 8:00 pm Sunday.
  • Serpentine Drive from East Circuit Road to Bartlett Street will be closed from 8:00 am Friday until 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • Bartlett Street from the park entrance to Panther Hollow Road/Blvd. of the Allies will be closed from 8:00 am Friday until 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • Hobart Street from the park entrance to Beacon Street will be closed from 8:00 am Friday until 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • Prospect Drive at Hobart Street (race paddock) will be closed to the public from 8:00 am Friday until 7:00 Sunday.
  • Blvd of the Allies from Overlook Drive to Hobart Street will be closed from 6:00 pm Friday until 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • Beacon Street from the park entrance to Hobart Street will be closed from 6:00 pm Friday until 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • Greenfield Road from Overlook Drive to Bartlett Street, from 6:00 pm Friday until 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • Greenfield Road toward Blvd. of the Allies will be closed at Overlook from 6:00 pm Friday until 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • The PVGP is erecting a race paddock on Schenley Drive in front of Phipps, so Schenley Drive from Frew Street by the bottom of Flagstaff Hill up to the Visitors Center will be closed from 9:00 am Friday until 8:00 PM Sunday. Phipps staff and guests will have access to the Frew Street Extension and parking.
