Presented by Sewickley Porsche, this was a new event in 2023 that is now a regular part of our Race Week as it returns in 2024. We’re excited to announce that country artist Sydney Mack will perform that evening!
Get ready for the Sewickley Stampede and RoundUp. It’s a street block party with race and exotic cars. Join us for an exclusive RoundUp at The Hotel and Rosa’s Cantina hosted by Robin Fernandez that will have you “Hootin’ and Hollerin’” for more.
The night begins with a RevLimiting, Rip Roarin’ Stampede Parade of Cars through the downtown business district of Sewickley, followed by the ‘Wrangling and Staging’ of cars in front of the hotel.
Grab your best Pardner and come out to take in all the magnificent cars on the street, or purchase admission to the exclusive private party in The Hotel, featuring a light food menu, cash bar, and live music.
The party begins at 6:00 PM at the Hotel and Rosa’s Cantina at 509 Beaver Street in Sewickley. Robin Fernandez is working on a special menu. Like all Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix events, the proceeds benefit individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Tickets
The donation is $50 per person to enter the Hotel and Rosa’s Cantina party from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM. Sorry, there are no parade or car show spots available.

Sydney Mack to Perform
Sydney has loved music since her mom played Naomi to her three-year-old Wynonna, singing “Grandpa, Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Old Days” in their family room. She has given music a lifetime of dedication, from her classical music education to stints as a Music Row intern while attending Nashville’s Belmont University. On Season 14 of American Idol, Sydney was one of only 37 contestants from Nashville who were given a golden ticket to Los Angeles for Hollywood Week. The following year, she was voted into the NashNext Top 10, where Sydney had the honor of touring with Raelynn. She has opened for country Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, and Brett Eldredge.
Besides performing on stage, Sydney loves focusing on her other passion, songwriting. After sharing multiple clips of four of her songs “Don’t Call”, “Pretty Boy”, “Medicine” and “Dark Horse” on TikTok, the clips quickly received over 4.2 million views. Sharing honest, vulnerable lyrics about relatable topics has helped her build a large following. Due to such a positive response from fans, “Pretty Boy”, “Dark Horse” and “Medicine” were released to all streaming platforms.
The hard work that ties it together has her poised for a breakthrough. While this past year has afforded Sydney the time to focus on creating the songs that define her as an artist and give the listener a vulnerable, candid look into her soul, she is ready to shine again on stage, both as a headliner and in support of the country’s biggest stars. “I love to watch people come to a show and, without realizing it, let go of their burdens and get swept up in the music. That’s what it does for me, too.”
Sewickley
The PVGP is very excited to bring our Motorsport Festival to Sewickley. When it comes to charm, Sewickley has it, from its bustling “village” of a business district to a range of great amenities, all within walking distance. Situated 11 miles northeast of downtown, on the Ohio River, this quaint borough of tree-lined streets with sidewalks is bordered by the neighboring boroughs of Edgeworth, Glen Osborne and, on the hill over-looking town, Sewickley Heights.
History
Many thanks to Dotti and John Bechtol and Rosemary and Joe Mendel. They are the founders of the PVGP Tune-Up Party, which started in 2006 at Bossa Nova restaurant downtown. Initially, the Tune-Up was a small gathering of 75 people who displayed a dozen exclusive cars. The Tune-Up Party has grown into a significant event with several hundred vehicles, upwards of 500 participants, and hundreds of spectators.
The Bechtols and Mendels yearned to return to the small exclusive event they started with their friend Robin Fernandez, who owned Bossa Nova and Metropol. Robin recently opened The Hotel & Rosa’s Cantina in Sewickley, an ideal setting for an intimate party with an exclusive car show.
The Hotel & Rosa’s Cantina
Celebrate American History at the most legendary place in town, the Hotel & Rosa’s Cantina. With a hospitality career spanning nearly seven decades, restauranteur Robin Fernandez’s last rodeo is a tasteful nod to the American West.
From savory homemade soups to specially blended brisket burgers and fresh salads, the Hotel treats customers to the American comfort food we’ve all come to know and love. The Hotel offers a little taste of Americana in a comfortable western setting. At the same time, our outdoor dining area, Rosa’s Cantina Kitchen, serves up a host of Tex-Mex favorites, including quesadillas, tacos, and fajitas. You are invited to this saloon setting for fresh and enjoyable comfort food, hand-crafted cocktails, and a wonderful selection of beers, bourbons, and tequila.
Giddy up!
