Many thanks to Dual Devils Garage for hosting the 2022 Rallye. It was a perfect day to explore the backroads of Washington County.
Our Kick-Off Rallye is truly the kick-off event of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix as it occurs one week before Race Week. The competition consists of a combined Monte Carlo/Gimmick format requiring no prior experience. You can compete in any vehicle you like – any year, any make – no restrictions. Multiple checkpoints are located early along the route and are shown in the route instructions with approximate mileage and the time that the vehicle is due to cross the timing line. The tour should take 2.5 hours to complete and will all be on paved roads.

What is a Rallye?
You don’t have to be a racer or have experience in a rally competition to enjoy our Kick-Off Rallye. Each year it helps us kick off the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Any car enthusiast can register to participate in a fun, but competitive, mystery course that will test your driving, navigational and trivia skills through the Pittsburgh countryside. Paul MacIntyre and Chuck Larouere are already planning some new twists for 2022.
Chuck Larouere returned as Rallyemaster in 2021 and brought the latest technology with him. We utilized Richta Rally so all competitors can download the app for free and it automatically acknowledges as you pass the electronic checkpoints. No volunteers are required on the course and it’s all touchless! You will know your score and standing while you drive! Now everyone can enjoy participating in the rally, as no checkpoints crews are required. Just like magic!
Instant Feedback – Your score for each leg is shown to you immediately.
