Our Black Tie & Tailpipes Gala opens Grand Prix Race Week in formal style! This is a must for any auto enthusiast who enjoys shiny cars, fine dining and great company. In addition to being one of the city’s best summer parties, it is also a significant fundraiser for our charity partners.
History will be made in 2026 as the Gala moves to the Kamin Science Center, where Chair Ev Kelly Searle is already planning an unforgettable evening. The event shifts into high gear with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Science of Speed, an incredible experience showcasing the physics, innovation, and technology behind the world’s fastest machines. Guests will also get a special preview of the exciting two-story electric kart track, scheduled to officially open to the public on August 1.
Live entertainment provided by The Commonheart. They bring an electrifying blend of soul, rock, and blues that has made them one of Pittsburgh’s most dynamic live acts. Known for their high-energy performances and powerful vocals, the band delivers a rich, authentic sound that gets crowds on their feet and keeps them there. Their mix of original music and crowd-favorite covers makes them a perfect fit for the festive atmosphere of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.
