The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is preparing to celebrate its 40th Anniversary in 2022. We are honoring Porsche as our Marque of the Year and the Kastner Cup Triumph Race is coming to the PVGP Historics!

Dual Devils Garage in Houston
Sunday, July 10 – 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
If you like cars and country roads, this is a great way to spend a summer Sunday and kick off the Grand Prix. The Rallye is like a countryside tour and a scavenger hunt rolled into one. This is a casual and fun event with no experience required. Your $80 entry includes participation in the Rallye for driver and navigator and a deluxe cookout dinner.

PVGP Historics at Pittsburgh International Race Complex
July 14-17 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
If you’re into hearing the thunderous roar of historic cars and ground pounders on a 2.8-mile purpose-built track at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex, this is the weekend for you. The PVGP Historics have developed into one of the PVGP’s most popular and growing events. Admission is $20 per day; kids under 12 are free. Special trackside parking on Spectator Hill and by the Water Tower.

Black Tie & Tailpipes Gala
Friday, July 15 – 6:30 pm – 11:00 pm
This formal event benefiting our charities is a must for any auto enthusiast as the designated parking area turns into a car show. This event is moving to the Grand Concourse Restaurant at Station Square.

Invitational Car Show on Walnut Street
Monday, July 18 – 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Nestled on Shadyside’s charming Walnut Street is a sampling of what’s to come on the weekend at Schenley Park with this impressive display of rare, classic, and exotic cars. Show cars by invitation only; free to spectators. Look for a special display of Porsches.

Waterfront Car Cruise
Tuesday, July 19 – 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Just about any car can be found among this impressive gathering of approximately 600 vehicles at the Waterfront Shopping Center in Homestead. The show is open to all vehicle makes and years for a $10 donation to our charities. Vendors will be present.

Downtown Car Display
Wednesday, July 20 – 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
This show is a great way to spend your lunch hour in downtown Pittsburgh getting a preview of the upcoming Race Weekend. The show is staged at three locations with cars at PPG Place, Market Square and USX Plaza. The cost is $15 to participate with proceeds benefiting our charities.
Grand Prix Tune-Up Party
Wednesday, July 20 – 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
The Grand Prix’s Tune-Up Party and Automotive Showcase has been a popular Race Week event since it was created back in 2006. The party shifted gears and moved to its new home at the Town Square at the SouthSide Works in 2021. Hundreds of cars will gather for a fabulous car show including race cars, exotics, antiques and show cars for this exciting street festival in the streets surrounding the Cheesecake Factory and the Hofbräuhaus.

If you have a vintage car from 1983 or earlier, you’re invited to tour the Laurel Highlands with us. The route changes each year. We are excited to announce that the tour is returning to Jamison Farm for an incredible lunch and continues through the southwestern Pennsylvania countryside.

Our hangar party lands at a new location – the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport. This year’s party will take you back through time to experience the change, growth and innovation of the past 100 years. Forbes Avenue of Speed
Friday, July 22 – 6:30 pm– 8:30 pm
This is a great opportunity to meet the drivers and see the race cars up close. Vintage racers will parade from the paddock in Schenley Park, through Squirrel Hill, and then park up and down Forbes Avenue for a unique car show. The racers and their crew will go into Orr’s Jewelers for a private reception.

Schenley Park Race Weekend – Saturday, July 23
International Car Show 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
Join us for a day full of family-friendly automobile-themed activities at the Bob O’Connor Golf Course in Pittsburgh’s Schenley Park. Thousands of classic, antique and exotic vehicles fill the golf course for our International Car Show. If speed is more your thing, watch 150 vintage racers compete on the track all day to qualify for Sunday’s featured races. During the day, grab a snack at our food courtyard or shop at our Vendor Village. International Car Show entry fee is $50 per show car for the weekend. Charity donation for spectators aged 12 and over is only $5 per day.

Vintage Races 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Our vintage racers will be on track all day. Each of the 5 race groups will run in practice sessions starting at 8:30 am. At noon racers with passenger seats come up to the VIP Tent at turn 14 and for $50 you can experience a real lap of the track. The track goes hot at 1:00 with all 5 groups racing in qualifying sessions. The last race of the day is the Donna Mae Mims Sprite-Midget Race pitting Austin-Healey Sprites versus MG Midgets.

Schenley Park Race Day – Sunday, July 24
International Car Show 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
Our 10-day event closes with a roar as we continue with our races and car shows all day long at the Bob O’Connor Golf Course in Pittsburgh’s Schenley Park. Most of the of classic, antique and exotic vehicles that appeared on Saturday return for Race Day at the International Car Show. Grab lunch at our food courtyard or shop Vendor Village. International Car Show entry fee is $50 per show car for the weekend. Charity donation for spectators aged 12 and over is only $5 per day.
Vintage Races 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
At 8:30 each race groups come out for 20 minute warm-up sessions in preparation for the featured afternoon races. At 11:00 we begin the Opening Ceremonies with Parade laps by Patron Parkers and a select group of 100 cars led by Grand Marshal Ray Shaffer and Honorary Race Director Roy Sjoberg
The afternoon races start at noon with the Porsche Marque Race sponsored by Sewickley Porsche followed by the featured race for each of the 5 groups with top finishers recognized in the Helltown Brewing Winner’s Circle.
Bentley Pittsburgh Fall Invitational
Sunday, September 25, 9:30 am – 3:00 pm
Bentley Pittsburgh has been a tremendous supporter of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Jason Moka and his team have hosted this intimate and exclusive car show to benefit the PVGP charities since 2019 . This fall will be the fourth year that Bentley Pittsburgh has hosted this now annual event.
This is an invitation only show of special cars featuring Bentley, Rolls Royce and Maserati cars of all years, but you will see plenty of Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs, and others. Bentley clears their showroom and parking lot to make room for the car show. They also provide a delicious lunch for all attendees.
