With the Panther Hollow Bridge set to open for the PVGP this summer, the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Race Weekend returns July 18–19 to the full, legendary street circuit in Schenley Park. The City of Pittsburgh just announced that the bridge will be temporarily opened for the PVGP, followed by rolling closures through August. Racers will once again thunder across the bridge, thread past the park’s stone walls, and charge through the golf course in front of 100,000 spectators.
As the nation’s only remaining vintage street race, the PVGP features legendary marques including MG, Porsche, Lotus, BMW, Austin-Healey, Triumph, and Jaguar. Vehicle eligibility has been expanded through 1987, updating select traditional marques and welcoming additional sports cars to the grid, with final approval by the PVGP Competition Committee. In addition, the Sports Cars Over 2.0 Liters class has been expanded to 3.3 Liters.
We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we rerouted the circuit last year and staged a hillclimb. With the bridge reopening, we are excited to return to our world-famous course and restore the full Schenley Park racing experience.

Schenley Restored: Full Course, Full Speed, Full Weekend
Everything changes the moment you reach the bridge.
For 2026, the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix returns to its complete Schenley Park circuit on July 18-19, as the Panther Hollow Bridge is slated to reopen in time for Race Weekend, restoring the defining element of this historic course.
With that, the race returns to its natural rhythm. The flow of the full circuit, the elevation changes, the unforgiving stone walls, and the run across the bridge all come back into play. It is a course that demands respect and rewards precision, set before a crowd of over 100,000 spectators over the weekend.
The paddock will reflect that same sense of renewal. Eligibility now includes cars through the 1987 model year, opening the door to a broader mix of machinery while maintaining the integrity of vintage competition.
