Patron Parking
Patron Parking is a reserved parking area on the Schenley Park golf course to watch the races. Take a parade lap of the Schenley Park race circuit in your own car, then watch the afternoon feature races from the privacy of your exclusive parking spot overlooking turns 17 and 18. Started by Dick Jevon in 1984, Patron Parking is one of the oldest traditions of the Grand Prix and an important fundraiser.

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix and it’s charities welcome Your Town Realty back as our sponsor. Many thanks to Hope Feldman for volunteering and sponsoring!
Assorted picnics, tailgate parties, and even lavish catered spreads dot the landscape. Spaces are wide enough for your sports car or SUV. Buy multiple spaces and put up a tent or set up a picnic. It’s a trackside party like no other.
Prizes are awarded annually for Most Outstanding and Coolest Parties. Single spots are $200 with discounts available for multiple purchases.

Entrance – Gate F
Patrons now enter the Schenley Park Golf Course from East Circuit Drive which can be found at the end of Darlington Road – you will be directed onto the golf course through GATE F. We advise you to enter Schenley Park through Squirrel Hill on East Circuit, but if you come in on Forbes Avenue or Schenley Drive you can still gain access by turning left on Darlington Road, it might take longer though. The cars participating in the Patron Parade will park along East Circuit Drive They will enter and exit the racecourse at the top of the Serpentine.
Patron Parade
You are encouraged to take advantage of the unique opportunity to take part in our Opening Ceremony by driving your vehicle on a parade lap of the track. The parade begins at approximately 11:00 am and ends at 11:45 am.
Vehicle Restrictions
Patron Parking is held on the fairways of a golf course therefore motor homes, RV’s and vehicles over 4,000 pounds are not permitted. Tents are permitted but they can not be erected prior to your entrance on Sunday morning at 9:00 am. Live or broadcast music is not permitted because of the close proximity of other patrons – besides, we all want to hear the races!
VIP Parking at Pitt Race – July 15/16
The PVGP is not just a one-weekend event any longer. We now include multiple events over a two week period. One of these events is the PVGP Historic Races at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Beaver Falls. The PIRC facility has grown into a ‘state of the art’ motorsport complex and the PVGP hosts a weekend of Historic Races. The PVGP team of volunteers, racers, and patrons will all be on hand to enjoy a weekend of high-performance vintage motor racing.

We have created a VIP parking option at the PVGP Historic Races. On top of a grassy hilltop overlooking both the North and South tracks, you can ‘park & picnic’ while enjoying a commanding view of the races. – just like Schenley Park. A short stroll over the hill and you are in the paddock where the race teams prepare the cars. A bit further along you can visit the Event Center, Wilson Karting Circuit, and the VDA (Vehicle Dynamics Area) where you can watch a live ‘Autocross’ event.

VIP parking will be based on a ‘first come, first served basis and will be limited in number. The ‘one time’ all-day fee is only $20 per car plus standard per person event admission fees at the gate.

NOTE: THE PVGP TENT POLICY PROHIBITING SPECTATOR TENTS ON THE GOLF COURSE DOES NOT APPLY TO PATRON PARKING – THE POLICY WAS DESIGNED TO HELP MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF PATRON PARKING PARTIES AND TO KEEP SPECTATORS FROM PUTTING UP TENTS THAT BLOCK OR HINDER YOUR VIEW OF THE RACE TRACK.
