PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, for the second consecutive year, has been named a finalist for ‘Motorsport Event of the Year’ by the International Historic Motoring Awards.
“The International Historic Motoring Awards represent the most prestigious accolades in the world of classic and historic motoring, and the PVGP is proud to once again be nominated as a finalist for the 2025 awards,” said Dan DelBianco, PVGP Executive Director. “We were also a finalist for Motorsport Event of the Year in 2024 and it’s an honor to remain in the company of the most elite motorsport events in the world,” DelBianco continued. The other finalists include Silverstone Festival, Le Mans Classic and Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
Celebrating excellence, innovation, and dedication across the global historic motoring community, the International Historic Motoring Awards shine a spotlight on individuals, clubs, organizations, and events that preserve, promote, and enrich motoring heritage. This year’s nominees reflect the passion, expertise, and creativity that continue to drive the historic motoring sector forward.
“The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is much more than a motorsport event; it has grown to one of our region’s greatest traditions each July. The PVGP represents a celebration encompassing the entire car community and stands as a symbol of what can be achieved when passion for cars and compassion for people come together. We are honored to share our story on the global stage once again,” DelBianco concluded.
Winners will be revealed on November 14 during the annual IHMA Gala hosted at The Peninsula Hotel in London, when leading figures from the international motoring world will gather to celebrate outstanding contributions to the preservation and enjoyment of motoring history.
Embarking on its 44th year, the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is the largest motorsport festival in North America and the only vintage race run on city streets. Our volunteer-driven organization proudly supports our charity partners in support of individuals and families affected by autism and intellectual disabilities.
