11 days of races, car shows, parades and parties have drawn to a close on the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, presented by the Greater Pittsburgh Automobile Dealers Foundation.. It was a wonderful event with many highlights. Stay tuned for details and photos. Shelby and Mustang Marque
The combined Shelby American Automobile Club and Team Shelby convention filled the track and the paddock at Pitt Race on our first weekend. Great racing all weekend! As the week progressed more and more Mustangs joined the Marque and we ended up with 150 pony cars at Schenley Park on the second weekend.

“Cortile Della Corsa” Alfa Romeo Convention
This year’s Cortile was bigger than ever as we welcomed the 2019 Alfa Romeo Owner’s Club Convention and 97 Alfas from all over the US to our hugely successful Italian car show.  Those Alfas were joined by 48 other Ferraris, Fiats, Lamborghinis, Panteras and Maseratis that made for a stunning lineup.  We were honored with the return of beautifully restored red 1953 Alfa Romeo 6C 3000 CM that crashed at the 1984 PVGP. The Cortile always draws a huge crowd and this year was no exception!

2019 Race Results – Schenley Park

Passport to Elegance Jet Center Party
The third time was definitely a charm as the PVGP hosted the third annual Passport to Elegance Party at the Lynx Jet Center. Guests enjoyed a balmy summer evening featuring Mustang and Shelby race cars, classic cars and vintage aircraft. The highlight of the evening was a ride in a WWII era P-51 Mustang that flew over the crowd and performed aerial acrobatics to raise funds for the PVGP charities. The presenting sponsor for the event is UBS Walnut Wealth Management. The evening came to a thunderous close as two Ford GT40s and a Gulf Mirage revved their engines to the delight of 400 attendees.
Schenley Park Race Weekend
The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix rolled through Schenley Park for the 37th consecutive year. Staging the nation’s only vintage street race was challenged by road conditions and weather this year but the PVGP volunteers and the City of Pittsburgh were able to stage another successful event. Each year the PVGP brings in rare and historic cars to highlight the show. Proceeds benefit the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Merakey Allegheny Valley School.
