Two great weekends of vintage and historic racing! Thanks to Helltown Brewing for sponsoring the Winners Circle and providing a cold reward for our racers.
According to PVGP Competition Director Joe Teplitz, “I just can’t say enough about the people who change a peaceful park into a racing city and back in the span of 3 days! As mentioned, a lot of the credit goes to our Competition Committee and the Race Chiefs meetings arranged by Brian Urban and Ken Murin. It really showed what you can accomplish when you get the right people in a room! Without a doubt, these have been the best two PVGP race weekends I’ve experienced!”
Joe continued, “the preliminary numbers from our Historics at Pitt Race show 302 of 321 laps were run under green with the lowest amount of incidents in years. While we don’t have to build the track in Beaver County, it still takes an incredible effort to stage the 4 days of races. Many thanks to Kathy and Jim Stout, Dave Hois, and the team at Pitt Race along with Lucky Towing. Hundreds of PVGP volunteers make it all possible.”
