Hello and welcome to the 2027 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Admission Gate Portal
You are viewing this page because you volunteered with our Admission Gate Team – thank you!
Whether you’re joining us for the first time or have volunteered for many years, we sincerely appreciate your time, dedication, and support. Our volunteers play a vital role in making the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix a success.
Your position is one of the most important volunteer roles because it is often the very first interaction spectators have with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Our goal is not only to collect donations that support our charities, but also to welcome every guest with a warm smile, genuine appreciation, and an enthusiastic first impression.

Highlights from our 2026 event.
Each Admission Gate is staffed by a team of 3–5+ volunteers. Depending on your location, you may be asked to complete more than one role. Responsibilities include:
- GREETER/SUPPORT: This role welcomes guests in advance and directs them towards the tent entrance.
- COLLECTIONS: Depending on crowd size, 1-2 volunteers will be stationed under the PVGP red tent to process a $20 admission/donation fee (per person). Children under 12 are free! We accept cash or credit card/Apple Pay. Electronic payment is easy, and we will provide printed instructions. We will also have a donation bucket for cash and prepaid collections. We will collect PVGP buckets at various times throughout the weekend.
- WRISTBANDS: This volunteer applies one PVGP wristband to each paying customer.
- VISITORS GUIDE: Each paying customer receives a Visitors Guide. On one side, a map highlights features such as the Racetrack, Paddock, Car Show Areas, Food, Vendors, and Restrooms, etc. The other side provides general information on the Marquee Car of the Year (BMW), as well as the weekend’s Race Schedule.
- Working together, you’ll help keep visitors moving efficiently while creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the event.

2026 PVGP Wrap-Up!
We want to personally thank each and every one of you for helping make this year’s Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix such a success.
As you know, Saturday brought challenging weather and unexpected logistical obstacles. Despite those challenges, you adapted, persevered, and represented the PVGP with professionalism and enthusiasm. We are incredibly grateful for your dedication. Without volunteers like you, we simply could not welcome thousands of guests or successfully process donations that support our charities.
As we begin planning for 2027, we’d love to hear your thoughts. If you have suggestions for improving either the volunteer experience or the guest experience, please send them my way. Your feedback is invaluable and will be used internally as we continue to improve our Admission Gates / Donation Stations.
If you’re interested in taking on a larger role next year, We’d love to hear from you. We’re always looking for volunteers who are willing to step into leadership positions and help us continue building an outstanding team.
Thank you once again for your time, your commitment, and your passion for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. We look forward to seeing you again in 2027!
