BMW will take center stage as the 2027 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Marque of the Year, and the BMW Car Club of America’s Allegheny Chapter is getting the celebration started early! With four exciting events planned throughout October, BMW enthusiasts have plenty of opportunities to gather, enjoy their cars and build excitement for next summer’s Motorsport Festival.
The festivities begin with a special BMW display at Oktoberfest Pittsburgh in Market Square, followed by a Cars & Coffee, a fall driving tour and a visit to the National Packard Museum.
October 3: BMW Car Show at Oktoberfest Pittsburgh
The PVGP has invited the Allegheny Chapter to participate in a special BMW display during Oktoberfest Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 3, from 1:30 to 4:30 PM in Market Square.
This downtown celebration will offer a preview of BMW’s return as PVGP Marque of the Year in 2027. Visitors can enjoy a display of BMWs alongside Oktoberfest festivities featuring live music, Bavarian food, family activities and traditional German entertainment.
A $20 donation is requested to participate in the car show. Participants must remain for the full event and bring an oil mat to protect the new Market Square surface.

October 10: Cars & Coffee at Urban Autowerks
Following a successful first gathering, the Allegheny Chapter returns to Urban Autowerks in Pittsburgh’s Highland Park neighborhood for another Cars & Coffee.
Join fellow enthusiasts from 9:00 AM to noon for coffee, pastries and a morning surrounded by BMWs.
The event is free, but advance registration is requested because parking is limited.
Location: 510 McDonald Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Urban Autowerks is a large, dark green unmarked corrugated warehouse on the corner of Meadow and McDonald Street. Please make the turn onto McDonald (left if coming down Meadow from Stanton Ave/Highland Ave, Right if coming from Washington Blvd/Frankstown. Parking will be along the sidewalk in front of the building. There will be limited indoor parking as well which garage owners will assist with directing traffic.

October 12: Columbus Day Driving Tour, Car Show & Dinner
The Allegheny Region Porsche Club of America has invited BMW members and other German car clubs to join its Columbus Day celebration.
Participants can choose between an all-day driving tour to Kinzua Dam, Foxburg and Brady’s Bend, a shorter tour west of Clarion, or simply join the car show and dinner at Narcisi Winery.
Both driving tours include the car show and dinner. The Porsche Club has reserved the entire winery for the occasion.
The entry fee is $53 per person.

October 31: The Last Drive to the National Packard Museum
The Allegheny Chapter closes its driving season with its traditional Last Drive on Halloween.
Members will meet at Generosa Coffee in Warrendale before enjoying a scenic drive to Warren, Ohio, for a docent-guided tour of the National Packard Museum. A group lunch will follow, with everyone returning to Pittsburgh in time for Halloween evening.

All Roads Lead to the 2027 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix
October’s BMW activities are just the beginning of what promises to be a memorable year for the marque in Pittsburgh.
BMW returns as the PVGP’s Marque of the Year in 2027, and the BMW Car Club of America will bring its national O’Fest celebration to Pittsburgh in conjunction with the PVGP Motorsport Festival. BMW enthusiasts from across the country will gather for a week of driving, displays, camaraderie and vintage racing.
The PVGP will also introduce its first three-day Schenley Park Race Weekend, July 16–18, 2027, creating even more opportunities to celebrate BMW’s motorsports heritage.
