The checkered flag dropped on our last race on Sunday afternoon around 5:30 PM as our Over 2-Litre race completed its session in Schenley Park. It was a fabulous event and thanks go out to our sponsors, spectators, racers, participants, and the City of Pittsburgh. But for a small few the event truly wrapped up at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 27. That is when the PVGP volunteers finished cleaning up the park, taking down the snow fence, and returning Schenley Park to its scenic city setting. So let’s applaud the outstanding efforts of volunteers like Bob Borgo, Greg Farrar, Guy Costa, Tom Morrison, Don Baker, John Kerr and Kip Andreas who returned to the park for two more days after the checkered flag dropped. They are all winners too!
