2016 PVGP Takes A Victory Lap

Sponsors, partners and volunteers gathered last night at the Hofbrauhaus on the South Side to take a victory lap. 125 people were on hand to toast our 34th year. The staff at the Hofbräuhaus did an excellent job with the buffet and kept the cold beers coming.

Our charity Ambassadors were presented plaques and we sincerely appreciate their presence – it helps remind us what we are working for. A select group of PVGP volunteers were honored with checkered flags for outstanding effort in 2016. “Voice of the Vintage “Ted Sohier was the emcee for the evening and PVGP chairman Dan Taylor addressed the audience. Dan DelBianco introduced sponsors while Bob Speer introduced car clubs. Jim Zahnister was introduced – he has just begun working on the 2017 poster featuring our Marque of the Year Camaro.

This time of the year is when the check was usually presented to our charities – but that special moment will take place on a much larger stage at the 2017 International Car Show’s “Dancing With the Cars” on Thursday, February 16. To show our appreciation we held a drawing for 2 tickets and the winners were Chris Granche and John Bender.
